Hair & Quality
Is Essietress hair really raw?
Yes. Single-donor, never processed, never steamed. The texture is exactly what was donated.
What's the difference between Raw and Virgin?
Virgin hair is unprocessed but may be lightly steamed for a uniform texture. Raw is completely untouched — the texture is the donor's natural texture, exactly as it grew.
Can I bleach or color it?
Absolutely. Our raw hair lifts to a 613 beautifully when handled by a trained stylist.
How long will it last?
With our care ritual, 2–4 years of regular wear is standard.
Will it shed or tangle?
Minimal shedding from the wefts. Tangling is rare with proper conditioning and silk storage.
Wigs
Are your wigs ready to wear?
Yes — every wig in our atelier ships pre-styled, pre-plucked, and with bleached knots. Put it on and go.
What lace do you use?
HD lace as standard — including 2×6 closures, 5×5 closures, and 13×6 frontals. Truly invisible on most skin tones.
What densities do you offer?
Most of our wigs are 200%–300% density for a full, luxurious finish.
Can I request a custom length, color, or density?
Custom orders are limited. Most wigs are sold as-is. Email concierge@essietress.com to discuss what's possible.
What size are your wig caps?
All wigs come with an adjustable cap that fits most head sizes.
Accessories & Tools
Are your bonnets wig-friendly?
Yes — our Luxe Satin Bonnet is double-layered and roomy enough for full wigs and natural hair.
What's included with the One Step Dryer?
Dryer, attachments, and user manual. Please verify the correct voltage for your country before use.
Do tools come with a warranty?
Tools are eligible for a 7-day return if unused and in original packaging.
Ordering & Sizing
What length should I choose?
Lengths are measured straight, hair pulled taut. Curly textures appear shorter when worn — size up by 2".
How many bundles do I need?
Most installs use 3 bundles for lengths under 22", and 4 bundles for 24"+.
What currency are your prices in?
All prices are listed in CAD (Canadian Dollars).
Shipping & Returns
When will my order ship?
Within 3–5 business days. You'll receive tracking by email.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship internationally. Rates calculated at checkout. Customers are responsible for any customs fees.
What's your return policy?
Tools & accessories: 7-day return on unused items in original packaging. Wigs and raw hair are final sale once opened. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.
What if my item is sold out?
